To ensure your client’s vision fits with the build specs, HPM designers work with contractors on things like plumbing, electrical and other essential details. “We take all factors into account—climate, humidity levels, whether a door style is going to work in their environment or not—and in the long-run it can really benefit our contractors,” says Jasen Doi, Kitchen and Bath Designer at HPM Waimea.
You can also count on us to project manage the ordering, shipping and delivery of materials so they're ready on time. We’ll take on-site measurements after the drywall is hung to ensure everything fits perfectly, making installation easier, too.

Growing up, Jasen Doi spent a lot of time at HPM Waimea, since his dad built a lifelong career with the company. After earning an accounting degree from University of Hawai’i at Manoa, he was ready to return to country life.
Luckily, there were several job opportunities in the Contractor Sales department with HPM, and Jasen began his new career. During his training, Jasen became fascinated with Kitchen and Bath Design and was invited to join the Waimea branch as a designer. Fueled by his passion for architecture and design, Jasen is happy to be on board helping both contractors and homeowners. Now he gets to work at the very same store he grew up in!
“The Waimea community is like a second home, and HPM is like a second family,” says Jasen. Thankful to be part of a team that cares, he shares the aloha by forging great relationships with contractors and homeowners. A big part of his job is getting to know pros’ building styles, so he can help the remodel or new build go smoothly.
From tackling design to the tackle box. The chance to get creative and the challenge of matching products with clients’ needs keeps Jasen excited. “I love giving contractors and homeowners a better feel for how great design can transform a space,” he says. “It’s like a puzzle, where you have to balance aesthetics and practicality.”
Happy to be home, Jasen enjoys simple pleasures, whether it’s getting out on the water with his dad to catch Ono or Opakapaka for the family or being part of the HPM ohana. With each new job, Jasen looks forward to designing remodels that are both functional and beautiful. “It’s rewarding to hear positive feedback from customers who work with our design team. Word of mouth is a big thing in our small community.”
